Today would be a long and rocky sailing day. We knew that once we left the wind shield of Naxos the Meltemi would hit us again.

Behind the island of Amorgos we got into sheer winds which reached more than 85 km/h or a force of 9 - it was a strong gale indeed

We had removed every moveable item from the deck inside which now looked more like a furniture warehouse

Photo before we moved the chairs down

After thee hours of Meltemi, we got to its fringe at the level of the Levida Islands...

... where we met two fishing boats

The Fishermen were happy to sell us their day catch but wanted to be paid in money, two buckets of ice, one bucket of iced beer and a few cigars. One of the most funny barter trades in my life

We got two boxes of fish and lobster for our mix of alcohol-tobacco-ice-cash

Which looked like this at dinner! It was yummie!

Checking out from Greece took a good two hours in Kalimnos and we decided to anchor in this quiet bay for the night. Bodrum could wait to tomorrow
